Traditional Nicaraguan Farming with Doña Lupe and Solidaritours

During this visit to a traditional Nicaraguan farm you will be able to explore the beautiful community of El Tambo and admire the flora and fauna that include medicinal plants, birds and butterflies as well as hollering monkeys. During a hike through the community you will be in touch with nature trails that have remained untouched for hundreds of years. You take a break to enjoy a natural beverage and then walk back to the farm. You can also ride a horse or an ox cart, depending on your interest.

Back at the farm Doña Lupe will teach you to make your own tortilla on a traditional clay oven and you will have a typical nicaraguan lunch with cuajada cheese prepared by local women from the community.

They can also provide alternative menus when you are a vegetarian or have food allergies.

Our fee includes a local translator from the community that will accompany the group during the experience. The community of El Tambo is waiting for you!
