Program Marketing Internship- Atlanta


Part time position based in Atlanta.

Overview:

Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, Vayando is a for-profit social enterprise that markets local people and their livelihoods. We’re a booking platform for travelers - and those wanting to learn new skills or connect with their own city - to book experiences and workshops with talented artists, farmers, business owners, creatives, and more to learn about who they are and what they do. To date, our focus has been in East Africa and Central America. Vayando first launched in Rwanda and is currently in six countries. We’re launching a US pilot program in Atlanta - our hometown - with plans to expand, and we’re looking for a talented marketing lead to support our domestic program. This is a 6 month internship with an expected 10 to 12 hour per week. The role may be built into a full time paid position as we scale. The Marketing Lead plays a key role in developing Vayando’s presence and growth in Atlanta. The role includes support in building out and marketing a diverse community of local entrepreneurs through multi-media support, content creation, partnership development, and marketing coordination. Focused on sales, the Marking Lead will work closely with our Atlanta team to get the word out in Atlanta and beyond.

What you'll be responsible for:

Develop engaging online content including forums, videos, graphics, and blogs  Develop and execute effective direct sales strategies in Atlanta, including building database and contacting local hotels, HR departments, and more. Work with designers and visual storytellers to create unique and engaging content as needed  Help build digital strategy for Vayando’s Atlanta program by developing and communicating plans, benchmarks, and measurements  Continuously monitor and analyze strategy success  Manage email and social media marketing campaigns  Use Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other relevant tools to communicate and implement strategy

What experience you should have:

The candidate must be based in Atlanta and have a good understanding of the city’s diverse communities and character. Excellent interpersonal skills Proven writing or blogging skills Background in photography and videography (and editing) a plus Excellent grasp of social media, website metrics, content creation, and best practices  Demonstrable experience with email marketing, lead generation, and SEO  Excellent communication skills, a drive to learn, and passion for making an impact
